PAINT THE TOWN READ: Divergent at Willis Tower in Chicago, Illinois

IMG_4839

‘The building that was once called the Sears Tower—we call it the Hub—emerges from the fog, a black pillar in the skyline.’

IMG_4960The building that was once called the Sears Tower is actually now called Willis Tower, which is kind of meh. My parents and I ventured up to the Skydeck to see Chicago laid out at our feet. It was pretty awesome, though I think I may have unconsciously avoided looking down and therefore seemed more nonchalant than I actually was about the whole experience.

Willis Tower is enormous and in order to get most of it in for this photo, I was crouched—almost lying, really—on the pavement across the road, trying to angle the book for the top photo.
