Join me for my March book photo challenge!

photo challenge

I’ve been doing book photo challenges on and off for a while now, and I decided to make one of my own! Join me on Instagram for a fun month of book photography, or play along here on WordPress or on Tumblr.

Want to know more about the prompts? Everything is explained here.

  1. Me, My Shelf and I: #shelfie time! You don’t have to be in the picture; just introduce your shelf so we can lust over your book collection.
  2. Sequel: Your favourite sequel, a sequel you hate, a standalone book you wish had a sequel—whatever you’re feeling, go for it.
  3. World Book Day: This day is all about celebrating books! Show us books you love, tell a story about the book that got you into reading, the first book you ever read, share why you love books—just go wild with this one.
  4. Last Book: Whether it’s the last book you read or the last book in a series, this one is totally up to you.
  5. Classics: Do you love classics? Did you bluff your way through reading them for high school or uni?
  6. Travel: Wanderlust-inducing books, or maybe dealing with the dilemma of what to take on holiday.
  7. Where I Read: Do you need to be in a specific place when you read? Can you read anywhere and everywhere? Show us your nook or maybe the weirdest place you tend to read.
  8. #ReadWomen: It’s International Women’s Day! Celebrate your fave female authors.
  9. Merch: Big or small, we’ve all got some kind of book merchandise. Show us your favourite pieces.
  10. Awesome: Celebrate the International Day of Awesomeness with the most awesome book(s) in your collection.
  11. Anticipated Release: Counting down to release day? What book are you looking forward to?
  12. Behind the Scenes: If you’ve set up ANY book photo, you know that things can get messy. You don’t want to haul all the books back to your shelf because you might need to use them again and you’ve got props lying around like trip hazards. Show us where the magic happens, teetering book piles and all.
  13. Regal: Opt for a book crown, a royal character or even the book that looks most regal on your bookshelves.
  14. Seasonal: Show us what the weather is like where you’re from.
  15. How I Read: Do you prefer hardbacks, paperbacks, ebooks, audio books or a mixture of everything?
  16. Underrated: An awesome book or author that doesn’t get enough love.
  17. Green: Get your green on for St Patrick’s Day!
  18. Notebook: Stationery addicts assemble!
  19. Adaptation: No book is safe. Tell us about the best (or worst) adaptation for film, TV or stage.
  20. Makes Me Happy: It’s the International Day of Happiness! Show us the books and other things in life that make you happy.
  21. Flowers: Real, fake or just on a book cover, get bloomin’.
  22. Unread: Check in with your to-be-read pile.
  23. Bag: We’ve all got some reading material in our bag; what else is floating around in there?
  24. Black and White: Pare it back with some classic monochrome.
  25. Tolkien: Celebrate Tolkien Reading Day with a trip to Middle-Earth. If you’ve never read any Tolkien books or seen the movies, swap this prompt for your favourite imaginary world.
  26. Reading Buddy: Pets, friends, pillows or that bookmark you can’t live without.
  27. Sweet: A sweet read or some go-to sweet treats.
  28. Bookish Outfit: Put together an outfit inspired by a book. Or tell us about an outfit in a book that you would love to wear.
  29. Plot Twist: We all have that one book that punched us in the face with a plot twist we never saw coming.
  30. Rainbow: COLOUR. COLOUR EVERYWHERE.
  31. Wrap-up: What books did you read this month?

There we have it! I hope you can join me for the #AmpersandMarch16 challenge! Let me know that you’re participating by commenting/reblogging so I can check out your photos!
