Join me for my September 2019 book photo challenge!

Join me for my #AmpersandSept19 photo challenge!

My #AmpersandSept19 photo challenge is here! For those who are new here, welcome. And for those who’ve participated in any of my previous challenges, welcome back!

I took a poll last year, and a lot of people said they wanted a Harry Potter-themed challenge in September, so I HAVE DELIVERED. This is just a THEMED challenge, though. So if you’re not a fan of HP (gasp!) you can absolutely still participate without using a single HP book.

Remember, you can interpret the prompts however you choose. If you’re inspired by something else, go for it! You can also check out my tips for conquering a book photo challenge here. If you have any questions, feel free to comment below or message me via Instagram. And now for the prompts:

  1. Back to Hogwarts: TBR: What are you planning to read this month?
  2. Ancient Runes: Foreign languages: Translated books, books in a language other than English, or even fictional languages will work for this one!
  3. Horcrux: Favourite books: This one’s pretty simple. Pick some favourites. I’m not going to be cruel and make you pick just one.
  4. Hermione: Book stack: Stack those books up!
  5. Transfiguration: Best covers: Pick some of your favourites (or the most eye-catching ones in your collection).
  6. Draco Malfoy: Hyped books: The books you can’t stop recommending/the books people keep recommending to you.
  7. Divination: Anticipated releases: Upcoming releases that you’re really looking forward to.
  8. Gryffindor: Brave characters: Sort some characters!
  9. Death Eaters: Unhauls and DNFs: Books you just didn’t love or couldn’t get through.
  10. Hagrid: Big books: Bust out those beasts for a photo.
  11. Hogsmeade: Book and drink: Tea/coffee/butterbeer … whatever floats your boat!
  12. Potions: This book + this book = Recommend some books based on similar plots!
  13. Harry: The Chosen One: Do you love or hate this trope?
  14. Hippogriff: Mythical creatures: This prompt was actually going to be Care of Magical Creatures, but it didn’t fit on the tile. THE POINT IS you should talk about cool mythical creatures like dragons and hippogriffs and nifflers.
  15. Hufflepuff: Loyal characters: Sort some characters!
  16. Astronomy: Sci-fi: Your favourite science-fiction books.
  17. Diagon Alley: Book merch: Mugs, book sleeves, candles, art prints … whatever you love, feature it!
  18. Quidditch: Fast-paced: An action-packed book.
  19. Charms: Go-to author: Your favourite authors in any genre (or multiple genres!)
  20. Ron: Underrated: Books you think deserve more love.
  21. Muggle Studies: Contemporary: Feature some contemporary books.
  22. Ravenclaw: Wise characters: Sort some characters!
  23. History of Magic: Historical fiction: Feature some historical fiction books.
  24. Arithmancy: Longest series: The longest series you own, or the most books you own by any one author.
  25. Time-Turner: Ending you’d change: Or this could be any detail you’d like to change in a book, like a romantic pairing or a character death. But do try to keep it to older books to avoid spoilers for new releases.
  26. DADA [Defence Against the Dark Arts]: Best battles: Your favourite fictional fights, big or small. And if you don’t read books with a lot of physical battles, you can always opt for a battle of wits.
  27. Deathly Hallows: Fave genres: Pick your three favourite genres.
  28. Herbology: Book and nature: Take your book outdoors for a photo!
  29. Slytherin: Ambitious characters: Sort some characters!
  30. Nineteen years later: Wrap-up: How did your reading go this month?

I hope you can join me for #AmpersandSept19 on Instagram! Don’t forget to use the hashtag in your posts so I can check out your photos!
